World Bowls Series Northern Rivers Open – Yamba | August 2026
The inaugural World Bowls Series Northern Rivers Open is coming to Yamba from 25–30 August 2026, bringing bowlers from across Australia and overseas to compete in this major new event. The Yamba Bowling Club will host the finals, with qualifying matches held across nine regional clubs.
The tournament features fast-paced Singles, Pairs and Triples matches, a $70,000 prize pool, and is expected to attract top-level competitors to the Northern Rivers region.
Guests staying at Moby Dick Waterfront Resort will be ideally located to enjoy the event along with Yamba’s beaches, dining, and waterfront attractions.

YAMBA Triathlon

Experience one of the most scenic and family-friendly triathlons on the Australian calendar at the Yamba Triathlon. Set against a stunning backdrop of pristine beaches, the iconic lighthouse, and the charming coastal township of Yamba, this popular event attracts competitors and spectators from across the country.
With something for everyone, the weekend features a free Fun Run, free Ocean Swim, Kids Triathlon, Tempta Triathlon, Team Events, and the Sprint Triathlon. Yamba Ocean Swims

Kick off the new year with one of Yamba’s favourite summer traditions – the Yamba Ocean Swims. Held along Yamba’s spectacular coastline, this popular event welcomes swimmers of all ages and abilities.
Choose from a shorter course perfect for those gaining confidence in open water, or take on the longer distance for a more challenging ocean swim experience.
Typically held on the first or second Sunday in January (subject to tides), the Yamba Ocean Swims are a fantastic way to enjoy the ocean, stay active, and soak up the vibrant holiday atmosphere.
